Air Handling Units For Hospitals

AIRPAK air handling units are widely recognized as leaders in the industry for their robust construction and incorporation of premium quality components for class leading benefits of high efficiency, low noise & vibration, and reduced maintenance requirements.

This attention to detail and commitment to engineering excellence has seen the AIRPAK brand as the foremost supplier to medical facilities in New Zealand, as well as the related pharmaceutical and food processing industries.

As an example, Cooke Industries have supplied the Counties Manakau District Health Board (and it’s various predecessors) over 110 AIRPAK air handling units to 30 individual projects over the past 12 years through Beca Carter, Maunsell (Aecom) & APG Thompson consulting engineers and Airpro, Numecon, Proair & 1st Mechanical as mechanical contractors.

In consultation with the hospital engineering staff, AIRPAK units were chosen because of their ability to customise their standard units to suit particular site requirements and build in special features for reduced maintenance and higher performance. Features such as higher efficiency direct drive fans, increased fan balance tolerances, premium quality motors and high performance filters, special anti-corrosion coatings and construction options for inlet/outlet and coil sections, all contribute to lower vibration and noise levels, lower running costs and reduced maintenance.

Cooke Industries have a similar relationship with the Canterbury and Waitakere DHBs, and provide value engineering advice for many projects in this field.
